A Weekend Routine

A Weekend Routine

Monday. You already drank three cups of coffee hoping that a heavy dose of caffeine would calm your system before the BIG meeting. Thanks to the PowerPoint presentation you prepared a month ago the meeting went smoothly. After thirty minutes, the Board of Directors approved your project. You treated your officemates to couple of drinks at the nearby bar.

Tuesday. Because of a hangover, you were running late for work. Not a good impression especially after closing a deal with the company’s big shots. To make the day worse, you forgot the files for the project at your house. You had to delegate tasks to your team from your memory. Indeed, life is like a wheel. Sometimes you are up, other times you are down.

Wednesday. You woke up earlier than usual and you double checked your things for the nth time before heading to the office. Since you already have the files at hand, you called for a team meeting again to make sure that nothing was overlooked yesterday.

Thursday and Friday. It was your usual weekday. Coffee for breakfast, meetings in the morning, lunch with your office buddies, sending reports in the afternoon, and happy hour after five.

It seems that work is taking up most of your time. Although happy hour can be considered as downtime, you have other options to indulge in some relaxation. You don’t have to go out of the country to enjoy a lazy afternoon away from skyscrapers and subways. Head to Jennings Beach. Accessibility is not going to be a problem. It’s only an hour from New York. The sand and the waves await you this weekend.
