Fairfield
Fairfield
If you have a copy of Money Magazine released in July 2006, then you are aware that Fairfield is recognized as the ninth “best place to live” in the whole United States. The place is also regarded as the best place to live in Northeast. Are you interested how it ranked high in the list? Feel free to satisfy your curiosity by continuing.
Just a brief background first. Fairfield can be found in Fairfield County, Connecticut. It is located along the Gold Coast of the state. The town has a number of good neighborhoods, including Southport and Greenfield Hill. Both are known to be the home of affluent families.
One of the top reasons why it is considered a best place to live in is its affluence. Other grounds are the low crime rate, outstanding public school system, suburban nature, picturesque location on the Long Island Sound, and nearness to New York. On top of these, Fairfield has its share of historic places such as Connecticut Audubon Society Birdcraft Museum and Sanctuary, Fairfield Historic District, John Osborne House, Pine Creek Park Bridge, Southport Historic District, and five more. Fairfield is also the home of distinguished companies like General Electric Co., R.C. Bigelow, and Sturm, Ruger & Co.
If you are more of a happy-go-lucky fellow, Fairfield also is a great place for recreation. As you already know, it is where Jennings Beach is located. There are other beaches along the Long Island Sound coastline which are almost packed especially during summer.
The town is hip and hopping. Take some time to visit Fairfield and have fun in exploring its sophisticated beauty.
